In 1986, we took our first Alaskan Malamute, "Kiska", to obedience classes. The instructors said, "She's pretty, are you going to show her?"...  Greg and Diane continued to serve as our mentors, and we are still good friends today.

We continued to educate ourselves about Malamutes, and knew we wanted an "all-around" dog for showing, obedience, sledding, and weight pulling.  We fell in love with the dogs of Storm Kloud Kennels, and decided that is where our foundation would begin.

In 1988, we purchased our awesome foundation dog, "Boomer", from Storm Kloud Kennels.

"Boomer" - Our Foundation Dog - Boomer quickly became a top winning dog on the east coast, earning his first Group Placement at 10 months of age as a puppy, and Best of Breed wins from the classes over specials.  He continued on to be a multiple Group Winner and multiple Group Placer, a National Specialty Award of Merit winner, and was UNDEFEATED in Canada.  As a producer, his children earned championships, Specialty wins, and obedience, working, and performance titles.

"Kassi" - Our Foundation Bitch - Next was our once in a lifetime foundation bitch, Kassi, from Kasaan Kennels.  In addition to Kassi being an incredible show dog and working dog,  she became one of the TOP Producing brood bitches in the USA in history, with her progeny achieving a total of 44 titles, between conformation show Championships, working, obedience, and performance titles.

In 1992, we welcomed our first litter of puppies, which produced Champions, Specialty Winners,  top ranked show dogs, and Working, Obedience, and Agility titled dogs.  ALL of our dogs, past and present, descend from our two foundation dogs, Boomer & Kassi.

We cannot thank Nancy Russell and Bonnie McMahon enough for starting us out with the best foundation dogs possible, and we thank them for all of their guidance and mentoring over the years.
